About Us

The Bible

Our Foundation

The Bible is the only source of knowledge available to us relating to God and His purpose. It was compiled by some 40 different writers over a period of 1500 years and yet the message is consistent. The absolute accuracy and consistency throughout has resulted from direct inspiration from God Himself working through the writers to produce “God’s Word” to us.

The Christadelphians are a worldwide body of Christians that place their beliefs wholly on the Bible. The name ‘Christadelphian’ simply means “brothers and sisters in Christ” and was adopted over 150 years ago.

“For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” 2 Peter 1v21

Core Principle 1

The One True God

The only true God, who revealed Himself to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by visions and through His angels. He revealed His purpose to Moses at the flaming bush and again in glory at Sinai. Ultimately He manifested Himself in the Lord Jesus Christ as The Word (of God) made flesh. He proclaimed Himself as the supreme self-existent Deity, “dwelling in unapproachable light”, and yet “present everywhere by His Holy Spirit power”

Isaiah 40v13-25, Mark 12v29-32, 1 Timothy 6v16

Core Principle

Jesus The Son Of God

Jesus of Nazereth is the Son of God, begotten of the virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit and afterwards anointed with the same Holy Spirit, without measure, at his baptism. Jesus taught and performed miracles in the name of his father before giving his life so that we may have hope of redemption. After being raised and receiving eternal life he left to be with his Father in heaven until the appointed time for his return to Earth.

Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-35; Isaiah 7:14; 42:1

God created the entire universe and has a great purpose for the world.
(Genesis 1)

The Bible is the inspired word of God given by Him to benefit mankind.
(2 Timothy 3:16)

The Holy Spirit is the power of God which He uses to fulfil His purpose.
(Job 33:4)

Jesus will be king over the restored Kingdom of God in Israel and over the whole earth

The Bible doesn’t teach that there is a devil, but that everyone sins and because we sin we die

Jesus overcame all temptation and died to save his followers from sin and death.
(Romans 10:9-13)

Jesus was raised from death by God. Later he ascended into heaven but he will return.
(Acts 2:22-27)

When Jesus returns to the earth he will raise the dead and give eternal life to all faithful.
(Daniel 12:1-2)

When we die we cease to exist. The only hope of life is by resurrection at Christ’s return.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6)

Repentance and baptism into Christ and daily following Him, are necessary for ultimate salvation.
(Mark 16:15-16)

Who Are

The Christadelphians?

We hold gatherings each Sunday called “breaking of bread” meetings when there are hymns, prayers, Bible readings and an exhortation in which we are reminded of both our privileges and duties as followers of Christ. Bread and wine is shared by the “brothers and sisters” (baptised members) in remembrance of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5:1-2
